Helicon West Presents Shaun’s Front Room (A Writing Group) on March 10!

Helicon West features SHAUN’S FRONT ROOM, a post-pandemic writing group that will be making its debut on Thursday March 10th at 7PMat the CacheARTS Thatcher-Young Mansion in Logan and on Zoom!

Shaun’s Front Room group was formed in response to the creative burnout that so many have experienced over the course of the past few years. The group meets twice a month to gather around a prompt and write together. When they share their work together, they have four essential agreements: 1. All are invited to share, but no one is required to. 2. They assume all work that’s shared is fiction, to provide the writer distance from their work. 3. What they share in the writing group stays between them (unless they’re reading it at Helicon West). 4. They welcome feedback, but focus on helping the writer see what’s working well in their piece.

An open mic will follow the featured readers, where attendees (in person and Zooming in) are welcome to sign up to read up to seven minutes of their own creative work.
