Tomorrow, we’ve got Helicon West! Rejoice, ye peoples of the
Earth Cache Valley. And for anyone new to the concept of Helicon West, here’s a run down.
What: Helicon West is an open microphone series with featured authors.
When: Every second and fourth Thursday of the month at 7:00 PM.
Who: Creative writers of all genres are invited to read up to 7 minutes of their original work.
Where: Logan Library Bridger Room, 255 North Main
How: Arrive early to sign up.
Why: Because it’s cool. Because you support an art culture in your community. Because you can get published (like so: HW Broadside56 February2016). Because we’ve got free coffee from Caffe Ibis. Because we are free, uncensored, and open to the public. Because we are totally excited to hear what you have to say, or to share what we’ve written with you. Because we made this cool flyer that gives more information about this Helicon West’s featured readers, and you don’t want to miss them. Take a look: Pace & Takacs Feb2016. We have Nancy Takac and David G. Pace, who between them have written books of poetry, essays, fiction, and a novel.
See you tomorrow!
-Jessica, your friendly neighborhood Helicon Blogger
